Waves of Mykonos, Winds of Japan: A Journey to IKIGAI
For the past few months, I’ve been taking a course of IKIGAI - a Japanese concept that translates to "a reason for being."
It represents the intersection of four key elements: what you love (your passion), what you are good at (your vocation), what the world needs (your mission), and what you can be paid for (your profession).
Finding your Ikigai means discovering a fulfilling purpose that brings joy and balance to your life, encouraging you to pursue activities that resonate with your values and contribute to your well-being.
Becoming an IKIGAI coach meant that I could guide others in discovering and finding balance and purpose in life, something that resonated deeply with me.
The course itself was intensive but fulfilling. It challenged me to look inward, refine my skills as a coach, and understand how to help people unlock their full potential. The journey was not just academic; it was also personal, allowing me to reassess my own purpose and align it with my future aspirations.
After months of studying the principles of IKIGAI, the long-awaited moment had arrived—the final exam to become a certified IKIGAI coach. Little did I know that this culmination of my journey would take place during my vacation in the stunning Mykonos, a destination known for its crystal-clear waters, sun-kissed beaches, and idyllic landscapes.
And now, with the exam behind me, my focus shifts to the next big adventure: a trip to Japan. The land where IKIGAI originated holds a special allure for me. It's the perfect opportunity to dive even deeper into the culture and philosophy that have shaped this beautiful concept.
I’ll be exploring breathtaking landscapes, from serene Zen gardens to bustling city streets, and immersing myself in the unique traditions that define Japanese life. I can’t wait to share my experiences, insights, and the incredible moments that await me.
So, stay tuned! I’ll be providing updates throughout my travels, sharing the beauty of Japan and the lessons I learn along the way. Your support means the world to me, and I look forward to bringing you along on this exciting journey!
